Building on its inaugural success last year, Futuresource 2010 enjoyed a 6.6 per cent increase in overall attendance and, importantly for exhibitors, a 10.4 per cent increase in trade visitors attending the trade fair. Organised jointly by the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) and Environmental Services Association (ESA), the Futuresource conference and trade fair at ExCeL London brought over 300 exhibitors and 100 speakers from across the industry together under one roof, and played host to key ministers, including Caroline Spelman, the new Secretary of State for the Environment.
It's was a challenging time last year for many events and exhibitions so it's great to see the increase in exhibitors and trade visitors to these events. Futuresource is not alone in its success, we've seen similar results at other shows this year and for many of our exhibitors, this has translated into quality leads and deals clinched on the stands, as well as an increase in valuable relationship-building opportunities.
May Gurney are a key player in "Resource Management" having many strategic relationships with key authorities across the country providing solutions and management of a whole range of integrated waste services. With a theme of "More for Less" the stand designed for Futuresource is intended to work at other shows for May Gurney this year to maximize their budget and increase ROI. With minimal adjustment the stand, designed with custom modular panels and modular graphics, will quickly transform from the 9m x 4m space at ExCel to suit a 6m x 4m space at the NEC in September.
